Organic
What is Organic?
Organic is a term that is thrown around a lot when it comes to food. What does it mean, and why should you care? In general, organic means that the food has been grown without the use of pesticides, herbicides, or other synthetic fertilizers. These chemicals can be harmful to both wildlife and people and have been linked to several health problems. When shopping for organic food, be sure to look for labels that state “organic” or “eco-friendly.”
Organic food is becoming more and more popular, with good reason. It’s not just better for your health; organic food is better for the environment, too. Pesticides, herbicides, and other synthetic fertilizers can damage both wildlife and human health, and they’re a huge contributor to climate change. When you buy organic, you’re supporting sustainable agriculture practices that will keep our planet healthy for generations to come.
